Say Anything, featuring Lewis and Roca:
Protect Your Brand
Fervor Creative | 7038 E Osborn Rd. Scottsdale AZ 85251 | 480-970-1400
Monday, August 11, 2008 | 6 p.m.
Establishing a strong brand is more than creating an eye-catching logo or a memorable slogan; it requires hard work and a good strategy, which includes a solid legal strategy. The first step in any successful brand strategy is developing a “strong” trademark. What one considers strong, either because it is catchy or directly conveys the company’s products or services, may actually be legally weak. Lead trademark attorneys from Lewis and Roca can offer valuable insight on avoiding this situation and on the difficulties companies face when working to protect their brand from misuse.
Guests will gain a better understanding of the legalities of branding and strategies to handle the proliferation of branding misuse, particularly on the internet. Plus, how often do you get to sit down with reputable attorneys and gain valuable advice for only $5? Or even better, FREE if you are an AIGA member.
Topics will include:
· Choosing a Strong Brand
· Protecting Your Brand
· Brand Policies
· Policing Third Party Use
