Stefan G. Bucher is art director of the Pasadena-based studio 344 Design. After working as a freelance illustrator in his native Germany for several years, Bucher received a BFA in advertising from Art Center College of Design in 1996. This was followed by a tour of duty as an art director at Wieden & Kennedy’s Portland office. Since 1998, Bucher has headed 344 Design, creating CD packages for Sting, The Matrix, Solar Twins, S Club 7 and bossa:nova. His work has been recognized by AIGA, the Art Directors Club, the Type Directors Club, Print and Communication Arts, and he has served as a vice president of AIGA’s L.A. chapter since1999.
